3. Halal Certificates — Limitations

Halal Certificates are compliance analysis documents produced using AAOIFI Sharia Standard No. 21. They are NOT a Sharia fatwa, a binding ruling of any Sharia supervisory board, a certification from AAOIFI or any religious authority, or a guarantee that a security is permissible under all scholarly interpretations. Scholarly opinion varies. Investors must consult their own qualified Islamic scholar before making investment decisions on the basis of any certificate issued by this platform.

Note: Methodology-level Fatawa issued by our Sharia Advisory Board govern the screening framework. Individual Halal Certificates are compliance outputs based on that methodology and are not themselves binding religious rulings.

Halal status is determined quarterly. A compliant security may fail in a subsequent quarter due to changes in financial ratios, revenue mix, or corporate structure. The Institutional Desk is not liable for investment decisions made in reliance on a certificate that has lapsed, been revoked, or been superseded. It is the investor’s responsibility to verify that the certificate being relied upon is current and within its stated validity period.
